Heifer International

Started by Dan West 70 years ago, Heifer came from the idea of why give a bowl of milk when you can give a cow. This ideology of giving systems that develop food has been the driving point for Heifer International. If you provide the means, the people will provide the way; creating not just food programs but business programs, school systems, and trades; as well as other forms of income for low-income communities across the globe.

Americans For Safe Access

Americans for Safe Access or ASA, is a members-based organization working to ensure safe and legal access to cannabis for therapeutic uses and research. ASA partners with state, local and national legislators, to create policies that heighten access to medical cannabis for both patients and researchers. ASA has over 30,000 active members with chapters and affiliates in more than 40 states. Thanks to the work Steph Shere and his contributors, ASA has been able to lobby, create media and legal campaigns, which have lead to court precedents, new sentencing standards, different legislative and administrative policies and procedures, as well as new legislation.
